In October of 2001, Executive Real Estate Consulting Services, Inc. (ERCS) was established by Mrs. Angel Renee Lewis and remains the only 100% minority owned and operated land acquisition and relocation consulting firm in southern Illinois; certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), and a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE).

Since 2001, ERCS has provided project management, acquisition and relocation consulting services on public and private development projects with budgets ranging from several hundred to several million dollars. ERCS has served as both a prime vendor and/or a sub-contractor on various types of land acquisition projects for the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).

In 2009, ERCS became a DBE certified vendor for project management, land acquisition and relocation consulting services with the United States General Services Administration (GSA) – Land Acquisition and Relocation Services – Property Disposal Zone (Regions 1, 2, & 5). Headquartered in Belleville, Illinois, the ERCS Team focuses on seven areas of discipline: Project Management, Environmental Services Appraisals, Review Appraisals, Specialty Reports, Land Surveys, Relocation and Negotiations Consulting Services in accordance with the Uniform Act as amended (URA).

Mrs. Angel Renee Lewis, President and C.E.O., of Executive Real Estate Consulting Services (ERCS) is a proven leader with decades of experience in project management, real estate sales and service, land acquisition (relocation and negotiations services) for public, private and non-profit entities. Angel “Renee” Lewis is a true entrepreneur and trailblazer extraordinaire. She is always stepping out on faith and pressing forward, especially when it comes to serving, assisting and representing her clients. Angel “Renee” landed her first real job working as a summer intern in the credit card department of a local bank, shortly after graduating high school. Four years later with a Bachelor’s Degree from Western Illinois University, Angel Renee’s career changed from banking to personal finance and later to mortgage servicing/management.

Angel “Renee’s” professional career took a series of twists, turns, and detours, until it eventually landed her an opportunity go back to school and earn a MBA Degree from Fontbonne University. Armed with another degree in one hand and a whole bundle of faith, determination and drive in the other, she took control and started a new chapter in her life. While dabbling into St. Clair County Illinois politics, Angel “Renee” Lewis made history in October 2006 by becoming the first African American women elected at-large as a county office holder – to the St. Clair County Board of Review. As a St. Clair County elected official and member of the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL), Angel “Renee” traveled abroad representing her region as an ACYPL delegate to the Philippines in 1996 and Tokyo, Japan in 2006. Angel “Renee” humbly served the citizens of St. Clair County on the Board of Review for twelve consecutive years until she left politics in 2008.

Since starting ERCS in 2001, Mrs. Lewis and her collaborative team of land acquisition/right-of-way professionals remain a stable force in the industry by offering an amalgam of premium services that are based on a blending of existing management processes, best practices, resources and highly qualified and experienced consultants and sub-consultants.
